Upload Porn Video

I was searching google for free porn the other day and came across youporn. The full title is YouPorn.com Lite (BETA( - Free Porn). Youporn has been around for two years and although it is not the oldest adult tube site – xtube is – it has shot up to become the most visited. That is if you believe Alexa. Well I believe Alexa, and I wonder how did it manage to get to that spot?

Knowing a thing or two about the internet and having worked 15 years in the adult insdutsry, these are the reasons I think explain youporn’s meteoric rise:

• it is free
• the user interface is very simple and not overloaded with features
• you can download videos – though in flash only
• the content is pretty good (there are other blogs that claim the content is stolen but I am unaware of this)
• download speeds are reasonably fast – faster than youtube

However I find that youporn has many downsides as far as free porn sites go:

• no community spirit
• no feature for writing comments (they had it but they disabled it)
• chat room is full of trolls and no video chat
• no picture section (there are thumbnails of the videos though)
• no stories section
• too many germans (LOL!)

Then there is redtube which seems to be a me too version of youporn, and is seems to be catching up with yourporn rapidly. It may even topple youporn from the top spot which is kind of ironica, given that a few months earlier youporn overtook pornotube and yuvutu, both of which clearly inspired youporn: pornotube’s colour scheme and yuvutu’s matrix layout.

Signs of youporn’s probable eventual demise are already starting to appear on the Alexa ranking. The adult site’s reach has dropped 25% since June. Watch that space!
